Below are the highlights of the October 2014, Franklin & Marshall College Poll of Pennsylvania voters. Complete results can be found at http://politics.fandm.edu

· A large majority (61 percent) of Pennsylvania registered voters believe the state is “off on the wrong track.”

· Almost one in three (30 percent) voters believes Gov.Tom Corbett is doing an “excellent” or “good” job, which is similar (28 percent) to the ratings he received in the September 2014, Franklin & Marshall College Poll.

· About one in three (34 percent) voters believes Gov.  Corbett has performed sufficiently well to deserve re-election.

· Gov. Corbett’s job approval and hard re-elect numbers have steadily increased among registered Republicans during the fall campaign.  His job approval ratings among Republicans increased from 39 percent in August to 50 percent in September to 56 percent in October, and his hard re-elect numbers increased from 46 percent to 53 percent to 63 percent during the same time period.

· In the governor’s race, Democratic candidate Tom Wolf holds a 13 percentage point lead over Gov. Tom Corbett among self-reported likely voters, 53 percent to 40 percent, with 5 percent indicating they “don’t know.” Among registered voters Wolf holds an 18 point lead, 50 percent to 32 percent, similar to the one he had in September.

· Education (25 percent) and taxes (16 percent) are the issues voters say are most important to them in considering who to support for governor.

Regardless of their vote choice, 60 percent of  voters think Tom Wolf will win the 2014 election.

· One in three (32 percent) registered Pennsylvania voters believes President  Barack Obama is doing an “excellent” or “good” job as president which is same as his June rating.

This survey reflects interviews with 738 Pennsylvania registered voters conducted by the Center for Opinion Research at Franklin & Marshall College from October 20-26, 2014 (sample error of +/- 3.4 percentage  points).
