NEW YORK/MIAMI — This season, let’s welcome spring with fresh, new and sensational styles that exude flavor, character, fun and style.
Here’s a peek at my Top 10 choices for 2018 …
1. LAVENDER
The new IT color for spring! Out with the pink, in with the purple. Pastels are always a good option for spring, but this year lavender takes the cake.
2. PLASTIC
Lucite shoes, bags, clothes? Plastic and latex hit the runway and is making you rethink some of your household items, hmm how would this look on?
3. RUFFLES
Ruffles are in, especially with a romantic twist of adding in lace and spring pastel colors.
4. FRINGE
Whether you’re shaking it at a party or just looking fabulous in the grocery store, make sure you incorporate fringe into your wardrobe this spring! Pick colored pieces that give “fringing it” a different meaning.
5. SHEER
Sheer is making a bold statement with exposed lingerie or even nothing at all, I’m actually pretty much in love with it! Apparently so are Christian Dior, Ralph & Russo, and Valentino. Plus, others like Mansur Gavriel, Ulla Johnson, Jason Wu, and Jeremy Scott have shared their take on everything sheer as well.
6. ART INSPO
“Mixed prints” is an understatement when it comes to the artwork seen on the runway. Picasso me up!
7. TULLE
It’s like ruffles and sheer had a baby that was destined to be fabulous! It may not be the most practical in your wardrobe, but look how S – T – U – N – N – I – N – G!
8. DARK DENIM
Denim on denim is back and specifically dark denim was all over the runway! Some of the biggest influencers, Tibi, Oscar de la Renta, Tom Ford, Christian Dior, and Greg Lauren.
9. DOUBLE BAG
Because one isn’t enough.
10. KITTEN HEELS
They’re simple, chic, feminine, and easy to wear. Kitten heels are back in style and more fashionable than ever.
