WCW holds 4th Annual Award Ceremony, March 27

Women Cultivating Women (WCW) is pleased to announce its 4th Annual Award Ceremony on Saturday, March 27th from 10 AM to 2 PM at Cheyney University of Pennsylvania, Cheyney, PA.

 

This spirited, FREE EVENT will feature dynamic speakers, entertainment, and tasty food for all young and adult women.

 

This year’s theme is: “Words of Wisdom: Helping Young Women to Understand the Impact of the Decisions They Make in Their Life.”

 

Goal of this forum is to honor the tireless works of amazing women who are unsung heroines and offer critical advice and words of wisdom to young women who are faced with many hard challenges and life’s daily decision.

 

Among those being honored during the 4th Annual WCW 2010 Award Ceremony are as follows:

 

1. Dr. Michelle R. Howard-Vital, President of Cheyney University of Pennsylvania AWARD: Mary McLeod Bethune Award

 

2. Honorable Lori Dumas Brooks, Judge of Philadelphia’s Court of Common Pleas AWARD: Juvenile Justice Award

 

3. Lady B, Philadelphia Radio Personality (WRNB 107.9 FM) AWARD: Music Pioneer

 

4. MoShay LaRen, Philadelphia Radio Personality (WRNB 107.9 FM) AWARD: Empowerment Award

 

5. Gwen Ragsdale, Co-owner of Black Holocaust Museum of Slavery AWARD: Historian Award

 

Since WCW’s inception in 2007, women from southeastern Pennsylvania have been selected and honored at our annual awards ceremony that recognizes the work of highly visible females in the region for the purpose of positive reinforcement and elevating young girls to become productive citizens able to identify their purpose in life and reach their full potential.
