The 19th Annual Greater Philadelphia Martin Luther King Day of Service is less than three weeks away. We hope you will join us on Monday, January 20 in what we expect will again be the largest King Day event in the nation. It is not too late to register your King Day of Service project or event. Please visit www.mlkdayofservice.org or call 215-851-1811 to register your project(s).
King Day of Service volunteer opportunities throughout our region are available and can be viewed on our website– www.mlkdayofservice.org. The website allows you to create an individual or group volunteer account, view all available projects and then select a service opportunity. Also, share Dr. King’s legacy with young people by having them participate in our One King Day, One King Book initiative.
There are reading selections appropriate for students of all ages. Students may read one of the selections and submit an essay, drawing or comic. Select entries will receive prizes. All entries must be received or postmarked by January 31. For more information go to https://www.dropbox.com/s/is7i9ztpvvgrisj/OKB%20Poster_vfinal%20FINAL2.pdf.
