Universal Companies Co-Founder, Faatimah Gamble and President/CEO, Rahim Islam joined 50 Universal Audenried Charter High School students from its Health
Related Technology Academy Scholars (HRT) for a 5 mile Walk-Out for Leukemia & Lymphoma.
Appropriately titled, “Scholars”, the students in the Health Related Technology Academy walked together in support of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
The Walk-Out was a Fundraiser that benefitted blood cancer research and provided education and patient services. It helps fund therapies and treatment
advances for blood cancer patients. Each Scholar donated $5 to participate in today’s walk.
The walk began in front of the Universal Audenried Charter High School, 33rd & Tasker Streets and headed to 32nd Street and traveled east on Dickinson
Street to 20th Street & left on 20th Street to Wharton Street and traveled east on Wharton to Broad Street, then north on Broad Street to Catherine and
left on Catherine at arrival in front of Universal Institute Charter School, 1415 Catherine Street.
Faatimah Gamble and Universal Audenried HRT Scholars ended the walk with a pep rally by Universal Institute Charter School Scholars and faculty who hosted
a healthy catered lunch for their big Universal Brothers and Sisters.
