The Ducky Birts Foundation is celebrating the Seventh Medallion Scholarship Banquet on Saturday, April 20, 2013, The Grand Ballroom at First District
Plaza, 3801 Market Street, Philadelphia, 19104. Ducky, an entrepreneur and civil activist, has established a legacy of service by caring for others, with
an emphasis on nurturing the growth of our community’s most valuable resource – our children. “Molding tomorrow’s leaders today,” is his motto and creed.
Ducky, is currently special assistant to Congressman Bob Brady who is the city’s Democratic Party Chairman.

Through the years he has spent his extra time working to better the future of inner city youth. The primary goal is to build a youth academy targeting 4th,
5th, and 6 grades. Teaching them economic development and government relations along with sports activities on Saturdays. During the week the academy will
provide a after school program with concentration in reading, math and computers. At this year’s banquet the foundation will announce the Capital Building
Fund drive for the creation of the youth academy.

The foundation has partnered with Brown’s Family ShopRite Super Markets and Philadelphia Water Ice to help create Ducky’s Doogz, all-beef franks, Duck’z
Peachee Weechy juice drink and Ducky’s Cups, containing water ice in various flavors. Net proceeds will benefit the building fund.
