Deacon Darrell Lamont Tiller was ordained last week to the Transitional Diaconate in the Episcopal Diocese of Pennsylvania.
Deacon Tiller’s home parish is the African Episcopal Church of St. Thomas.
The ordination to the Sacred Order of Deacons was held at the Philadelphia Episcopal Cathedral, Saturday, June 8. The Bishop of the Diocese of Pennsylvania, The Right Reverend Daniel G. P. Gutiérrez presided.
Presenters for Deacon Tiller were The Very Reverend Canon Martini Shaw, rector of the African Episcopal Church of St. Thomas; The Reverend Samuel Kirabi Ndungu, assistant rector of the African Episcopal Church of St. Thomas; The Revered Näzareno Javier, priest-in-charge of the Church of the Good Shepard (Rosemont, PA) and Ms. Clare Mae Daniels, clerk of the vestry of African Episcopal Church of St. Thomas.
