Restaurateur Keven Parker celebrated the one year anniversary of the Keven Parker Soul Food Café at the Reading Terminal, Friday, March 28th. Parker, who has long experienced success as the premier provider of soul food at his restaurant Ms. Tootsie’s, has done exceptionally well providing the same cuisine for guests in the quick ‘to-go’ atmosphere of Reading Terminal.

Guests who packed the terminal for KP’s spectacular celebration were treated to several musical performances, as well as a few raffles and giveaways. The highlight of the celebration was the arrival of Patti LaBelle, who spoke fondly of Parker and his mother before belting out a few tunes, including ‘If Only You Knew’.

This milestone celebration for Parker is one of many notches on his belt as he continues to solidify himself as a creator of high-class hospitality in Philadelphia. Not only has Ms. Tootsie’s continued to be the go-to spot for soul food in the city, but on any given day the demand for KP’s Soul Food at Reading Terminal is high. Parker is also the creative genius behind KDP Luxury Suites (1310 South Street, Philadelphia, PA 19147), a boutique hotel for out-of-towners tired of the cookie cutter hotel experience.

Keven Parker’s Soul Food Café in Reading Terminal is open Monday-Sunday, 10am-6pm. For more information visit www.KevenParker.net.
