Harambee Institute is calling all men and boys to attend its first annual Male Summit.
The summit will be held on Friday, May 10, 2019 from 6:00 pm until 10:00 pm at the institute, located at 640 N. 66th Street, Philadelphia, PA.
This important community outreach initiative was created to give parents, guardians, stakeholders, and community members resources, knowledge and skills to become more engaged in our community, and to take back their rightful place in their families, homes and community as leaders.
Parents and community members are encouraged to preregister online for the event, featuring State Senator Sharif Street as keynote speaker. Senator Street’s topic is “Taking Back your Home, Family and Community.”

State Senator Vincent Hughes and City Councilman Curtis Jones are also scheduled to make remarks.
There will also be powerful workshops uniquely designed for men and boys. They include “Health and Wellness”, facilitated by Dr. Glenn Ellis, health and wellness nutritionist; “Elevating Boys to Men”, facilitated by Brother Kevin White; “Financial Wealth”, facilitated by Michael Horsey and “Youth Activities”, facilitated by Cory Long of the Making a Change group.
Child care will be provided with age-appropriate activities for all youths.
Please join them for an evening of male fellowship, empowerment and power. A delicious hot dinner will be catered by Eatible Delights, in addition to an evening of great conversation among brothers.
