“What made you go into this business?”
That was the question I asked Torri Grice, President and owner of Pooch Kaboose and Kazoodles, 303 York Road in Jenkintown, PA 19046.
Her answer, “Because the pet industry is a billion dollar industry and there are not too many people of color in it”. Both businesses are located in the same space.
Kazoodles is a grooming salon and boutique for dogs and Pooch Kaboose is a dog rescue non-profit. They have rescued dogs from the area and Puerto Rico since 2014.
Ms. Grice told me that soon she will open a new flagship store at 1733 Reed Street in the Point Breeze section of Philadelphia; there she will offer doggie day care and boarding.
WHAT A CONCEPT!! So, if you’re a pet owner and are in need of these services or would like to pick up some jazzy outfits, toys and other cool things for your dog, check them out. Call Torri at 267.808.2986.
