Healthcare Solutions of Delaware Valley will host the Healthier You conference in celebration of five years of service on Saturday Oct. 10, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Neumann University, 1 Neumann Way, Aston, Pennsylvania.
Among the featured guests at this year’s conference will be Michel Sproles, wife of Philadelphia Eagles running back Darren Sproles, CEO of Sproles Empowered Youth and a breast cancer survivor.
Diversity coach and motivational speaker Davida Godett of Caterpillar to Butterfly LLC, will be the event’s keynote speaker. Godett, who was felled by a series of strokes before age 30, will share a story of overcoming health adversities that has been featured in USA Today, the Philadelphia Inquirer and on the “Dr. Oz Show”.
This year’s conference features experts in the areas of health and wellness that will talk about the most effective ways to maintain a balanced lifestyle in today’s demanding world, said Dr. Kristin Motley, who founded Healthcare Solutions, a company that provides patients with access to affordable medications and helps companies manage the healthcare system, five years ago. The idea behind the conference is to provide participants with ways to stop health problems before they start.
“It’s really unfortunate that so many people are afflicted with healthcare issues like high blood pressure and diabetes”, Dr. Motley said. “ There are so many options available to live a healthier life, reduce the need for medications, and/or lower your risk for some of these chronic illnesses. We just want to provide people with the tools and resources they need to start living healthier lives.”
Beginning with yoga at 8 a.m., the conference will feature insights on topics including stress management, how to develop a weight loss plan, healthy eating, how juicing can fight the effects of your DNA and more. Vendors with information and education on health options will also be on hand.
