East Passyunk doubles the Halloween fun with its 7th Annual Fall Fest and Spooky Saturday, Oct. 27

East Passyunk Avenue Business Improvement District (EPABID) presents a double dose of spooktacular fun with free activities for the kids, adults and even Fido, too! East Passyunk Fall Fest and Spooky Saturday returns on Saturday, October 27, 2018, from 11:00am to 4:00pm. Family activities include costume contests (for children and dogs), pumpkin decorating, arts and crafts, storytime with the Free Library Book Bike, live music, scarecrow scavenger hunt, trick or treating, pet treats and more. For the grown-ups, enjoy live music, 40+ craft and arts vendors, fall fare, spirited cocktails, and more. Businesses between the Singing Fountain and McKean Street will open doors to trick or treaters. Most activities will be held at the Singing Fountain (East Passyunk and Tasker), with select activities to be held at Mifflin Triangle (East Passyunk and Mifflin) and a scarecrow scavenger hunt all along the Avenue.   Free treat bags for the first 400 children

  Fall-themed arts and crafts

  Trick or treating at the craft show

  Kids’ costume contest for Scariest, Funniest and Most Original, staggered by age groups (11:00am – ages 4 & under, 11:30am – ages 5 to 8, Noon – ages 9 to 12, 12:30pm dogs)

Fido, too –

  Dog costume contest for Scariest, Funniest and Most Original (12:30pm)

  Free dog treats for dogs in costumes

  Fido treat and water station by Amelie’s Bark Shop

Music –

  Ben FM radio remote with spooky favorites included in the mix! (11:00am to 2:00pm)

  Ben and Dima (2:00pm to 4:00pm)

Outdoor Eats and Drinks (11:00am to 4:00pm) –

  Seasonal specials and new items at restaurants and cafes

  Say Cheese Food Truck (by 33rd Street Hospitality) will sell grilled cheese favorites!

Makers and Craft Fair (11:00am to 4:00pm) –

  Nice Things Handmade presents dozens of the region’s top artists, crafters and makers presenting everything from home decor, art, fashion, jewelry and more.

  Scarecrow Scavenger Hunt and Trick or treating down East Passyunk Avenue at over 30 businesses (starts 1:00pm)

  Favorite seasonal food specials from restaurants and cafes all along the Avenue

AT MIFFLIN TRIANGLE:

  Free Library Storytime and Book Bike (1:00pm to 4:00pm)

  Spooky chalk drawing (1:00pm to 4:00pm)

Food and drinks from mobile vendors and restaurants are pay-as-you-go. Other activities, tricks or treats, and snacks at Mifflin Triangle are free unless otherwise noted.

Fall Fest and Spooky Saturday is presented by East Passyunk Business Improvement District, with Nice Things Handmade, Passyunk Avenue Revitalization Corporation, Samuels and Son Seafood, Green Mountain Energy, Acme Markets, Rite Aid, South Philly Review, and Aversa PR & Events.
