With days left until the election, Democratic Candidate William Dunbar gets endorsement from the Black Clergy of Philadelphia
Democratic candidate William F. Dunbar has recently received an endorsement from the Black Clergy of Philadelphia and Vicinity, Inc., in what marks the final days leading up to the election and his run for State Representative of the 177th district.
This endorsement from the Black Clergy of Philadelphia, whose long standing mission is to promote community improvement, econ omic development, job fairness, housing, and education, amongst a plethora of other issues facing the community, is coming at a pivotal time in this election, where every piece of support counts; and the Clergy finds that their mission is not unlike that of Dunbar’s plans for the city of Philadelphia and this state.
“I am pleased to have the endorsement of the Black Clergy of Philadelphia,” says Dunbar, who admires the group and the work that they do not just for the Philadelphia community but for communities across the country and the world. “Their mission and the aspects that they promote for the city are directly in line with what I would like to accomplish for this city and state as well, should I become elected. We share so many of the same goals as to what we would like to have happen for Philadelphia and how we can positively impact the citizens of this city, and I’m extremely excited to have their support.”
The Black Clergy appears to be just as excited about this endorsement as well. “We strongly believe in the message that William Dunbar is presenting in his candidacy and his vision for Philadelphia and its citizens,” says President of the Black Clergy of Philadelphia, Reverend Terrence D. Griffith. “We are happy to endorse a political candidate who encompasses everything that we stand for and who plans to advance this city and this great state in a manner that coincides our mission.
Pennsylvania will benefit tremendously from a State Representative and a public servant that works to serve the interests of everyone, and we are pleased to support that and him.”
