Bids from interested firms are due March 8th at 5pm
The Democratic National Convention Committee (DNCC) released a Request For Qualifications (RFQ) through event services firm Hargrove Inc., seeking a firm to provide tenting, pavilions and other temporary structures.
The ideal firm will provide a system and inventory of at least 100,000 square feet of tenting for any and all areas that may be required around the Wells Fargo Center. The firm will also assist in the delivery, permitting, warehousing, staging, installing, maintaining, supplying, operating and removal of all equipment and associated distribution required for providing the exterior tenting at the Wells Fargo Center.
“To make this the most inclusive and engaging Convention in history, we are looking for innovative ways to maximize the experience in and around the entire Wells Fargo Center,” said Travis Dredd, DNCC Deputy CEO for Convention Complex Management. “I hope that this request for qualifications will attract talented firms with creative ideas to help transform our convention spaces.”
In keeping with the DNCC’s commitment to diversity, the selected organization will be required to develop and provide a diversity utilization plan to maximize the participation of businesses owned by minorities, women, veterans, people with disabilities and members of the LGBT community, as well as vendors who contract with members of organized labor unions.
All vendors must register with the Philadelphia 2016 Host Committee Vendor Directory. The deadline for final proposals is Tuesday, March 8th. Interested firms can receive more information by contacting Hargrove at [email protected].
