State Rep. Vanessa Lowery Brown, D-Phila., is hosting her annual prom gown giveaway from 4 PM to 6 PM Wednesday to Sunday, April 23-27 at the Mount Olivet Recreation Center, 642 N. 41nd St.

Wednesday’s giveaway will feature a fashion show from 6 PM to 8 PM as the kickoff for the local prom season. Local students will model some of the donated dresses, beauty products and accessories.

Students attending the giveaway will learn about prom night safety. Underage drinking laws will be discussed, including the state’s zero-tolerance rule, which considers an underage driver intoxicated with a blood-alcohol content as low as 0.02 percent.
