Bebashi Transition to Hope, a local sexual health and social services agency, is holding a mixer to celebrate their new partnership with Queerality, an LGBTQIA art + education agency working to expose areas of injustice and to inspire social change through multiple genres of art and art workshops.
Queerality is donating an image and production of graphic tees to raise money to further Bebashi’s incredible work.
The partnership has been in the works for some time and started with a meeting late last fall with its CEO, Chris Landtroop, reaching out to the organization after being inspired by Bebashi’s work. “Queerality stands behind Bebashi’s mission to bring awareness and support surrounding HIV/AIDS in the African American community,” said Landtroop.
The partnership comes on the helm of other new developments of Bebashi, including a partnership with Mariam Clinics to provide free primary healthcare at their new location housed at Bebashi headquarters on 12th & Spring Garden. Miriam Clinics will also be in attendance to speak with guests about their new partnership.
The Spring Into Action Mixer will be held on Wednesday, April 18 from 5:30PM-8:30PM as a mini fundraiser that features a silent auction, complimentary drinks, silent bites catered by Darling Nikki’s Smoked BBQ and networking. Tickets must be purchased in advance on Eventbrite.
Admission is $10 and all proceeds will directly benefit Bebashi programs and consumers.
