All Signs: Saturn stays in one sign for 2 ½ years. When it’s there, it can (a) line up with your sign; (b) directly oppose your sign or (c) it can be 90° from your sign. This week, one of those special times is happening. What does this mean? It means something that began around seven years ago is now being tested. Should you continue or drop it? (Klunk!) Perhaps it’s not worth trying to save something that isn’t worth saving? Sometimes the smart move is to cut your losses. Remember when Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid are cornered on a high cliff above that river? Butch says, “Jump!” Sundance says, “Jump? I can’t swim!” Butch says, “Are you crazy? The fall will probably kill you!”
Aries (March 21-April 19)
You might face problems with parents or perhaps a boss or even an older family member. It might even be the law. Admittedly, you see very clearly what is working in your life and what is not. Now is the time to cut your losses for anything that has no future. Don’t keep doing it just because you’ve always done it. The only reason to keep doing it is that it is worthwhile. Resolve to go with what IS working. For some reason, someone in a position of authority is not receptive to your plans or suggestions. Do not withdraw. But do not fight blindly. (You don’t want defeat.) Face the facts. Go with what is working in your life and let go of what is not working.
Taurus (April 20-May 20)
You might face obstacles with travel or dealing with foreign countries as well as publishing, the media, medicine and the law. Or perhaps religion? Perhaps someone is trying to coerce you to believe something you don’t want to. Very likely, you will encounter obstacles to travel plans. You want to blow town but there’s no money or you can’t stay at a friend’s place, after all. This is the classic time to face legal problems. If so, do not give up but be careful. Do your research and get your ducks lined up in a row. You will be powerful in about a year but you will also finally realize that something is not working and have to let it go.
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
Your squeeze play is that less is coming to you from other sources. (Whaaat?) Perhaps someone shared your rent costs before? Perhaps you had a scholarship or a bursary? Whatever the source – it has dried up! Maybe your partner is making less money and this means indirectly you have less. The bottom line is you are thrown back on your own two feet. It’s as if you cannot count on others for as much as you were able to do so in the past. Bummer. Well, what doesn’t kill me only makes me stronger. (But that’s no fun.) About two years from now the very opposite influence will be at play and riches will flow to you from others! In the meantime, save your change.
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
Your test is about partnerships and friendships. The wrong relationship can hold you back. The influence of this person might dampen your ambition. You need someone who revs your engines and helps you to believe in what is possible! Do you cut off this relationship? Note: If you act with discipline – you’ll have no regrets. This means if you do something, and you don’t regret it, you acted with discipline. But if you do something and you regret it, then you didn’t act with discipline. Conversely, if you don’t do something, and you don’t regret it, then you acted with discipline. And if you don’t do something, and you regret it – then you didn’t act with discipline. Hmmmm.
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)
Two areas test you: Your health and your job. Concerning your health, Saturn has domain over your skin, your teeth, your bones and joints. These are areas where you might feel challenged. Need to see the dentist? Time for a hip replacement? These health-related issues are coming to a head. Likewise, some kind of issue might be culminating with your job. It could relate to authority figures but also to laws and regulations or difficulty in dealing with foreign countries. It might also be about publishing, the media or legal matters. Ponder this. Get ready to act.
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
At this time, children might be an increased responsibility. Or perhaps tit’s about vacations, the arts or the hospitality industry or the entertainment world? You might need funding for financial speculation. Perhaps something is being withheld, which leaves you dead in the water? Another area that could be a problem is romance. Mainly you have to ask yourself if you should still pursue whatever it is that is not quite “coming through for you.” Maybe you are pursuing a romance that is actually based on wishful thinking instead of reality? (Something I have never done.) It’s time to smell the coffee.
Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
Something to do with family members or your home is an increased responsibility now. Not only is it an increased responsibility, you feel you have to make changes. You have to fix something. This problem isn’t going to go away on its own. This is sobering. However, after you have fixed whatever needs fixing, especially if it relates to your home, you will be so happy! This could also relate to an arrangement within the family, especially dealing with a parent. You must clarify things and set boundaries to make sure everyone is on the same page. You are diplomatic with a strong sense of fair play and justice. You can do this and you can do it skilfully.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
You need to address your everyday world. (“Hi mess.”) Everyday habits. Perhaps it’s how you get to work? Perhaps it’s how you get your kids to school? Perhaps it’s how you talk to friends, neighbours and siblings? Perhaps it’s how you deal with your daily environment? One thing is certain – something to do with your daily environment is coming to a head now and it has to change for the better. We hope. You know it cannot go on. Therefore, you are seeking change or an improvement to make your daily world run more smoothly and make you happier. Can you do this? Ha! You can rig anything!
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
More than any other sign, you’re intrigued by get-rich-quick schemes. You like to think big and of course, you’re the eternal optimist. At this time, Saturn suggests some kind of financial crisis is coming to a head in your life. But you know, it might not be a financial crisis per se. It might also be a crisis about your personal value system. You are also the wizard of the zodiac – the wise one. You will not be pleased to learn you have not explored deeper truths when they were there waiting for you to discover. “I missed that? Impossible!” Whatever you value most is on your plate right now. Is it time? Is it money? Is it learning? Is it faith? Something is knocking at your door.
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
You have embarked on a new journey. For some of you, this is obvious. For others, it is subtle. Now something about your new journey is coming to a head. You have to make a decision. Do you take the red pill or the blue pill? Do you want the story to end or do you want to see how deep the rabbit hole goes? Yes, it’s a wake-up call! Some kind of psychological self inquiry will force powerful changes in your life. Believe in your own sound judgment. Trust your own future because you are not a frivolous sign. Oh no! You plan carefully for the future. Relax; step up to the plate because you’re just fine.
Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
Because you’re in a window where you need to downsize and get rid of what is no longer relevant – you have to decide what goes and what stays. This isn’t easy, but it’s time to lighten your baggage! You need to go through garages, attics, storage facilities and lockers. Purge your closets, kitchen cupboards, book cases and declutter! Get rid of what you no longer need. This does not mean it’s a time of loss. Au contraire! You are going to lighten your load! This is also the time to give up prejudices, beliefs and ideas that no longer serve you. You have outgrown them. You see the world with new eyes. “Remember back then when we all listen to radio Damascus?”
Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)
There are two areas in your life that might be under crisis. One pertains to friends and groups. A friendship might end because it is no longer relevant. It’s that simple. Or perhaps you feel that you must leave a group because you can no longer endorse their views. Conversely, you might want to join a group you had resisted joining. (Can go both ways.) The other area is goalsetting. You have to do this. Stop waffling. When you set goals, they give you a sense of purpose; they give you better control of your future; they give you more clarity in your decision-making; and they make it more clear about what is important to you. Write down your goals.
