Weekly series begins Saturday, Feb. 25
A free “Help Yourself to Health” workshop series for adults 60 and older with chronic health conditions will take place on Saturdays, February 25 to March 31, from 2 to 4:30 PM, at the Charles Santore Library at 932 S. 7th Street in Philadelphia. The workshops are designed to help individuals with arthritis, diabetes, high blood pressure, anxiety, heart disease, and other chronic health conditions.
The program covers a new topic each week and provides opportunities for group interaction and problem-solving. Each session is aimed at helping participants set goals and take action to improve their health. For more information, call 215-551-1395
“Help Yourself to Health” is a chronic disease self-management program, developed at Stanford University, to give seniors the knowledge and tools they need to manage their ongoing medical conditions.
Philadelphia Corporation for Aging is one of four Area Agencies on Aging to receive federal stimulus funding from the Pennsylvania Department of Aging for this program, through the Administration on Aging.
