On October 9, the New York Women’s Foundation held their annual Fall Gala “A Night At The Plaza,” in The Grand Ballroom of The Plaza Hotel in New York City. Comedian and actress Retta emceed the evening, which raised an unprecedented $871,000 dollars to help the organization award $5.5 million dollars to more than 70 women -led, community organizations this year. Some of the 350 guests in attendance included Diana L. Taylor, Danille Brooks, Jean Shafiroff, Anne Pasternak, Tony Porter and Ted Bunch……..
Geneva Thomas – journalist and star of Bravo’s “Blood, Sweat and Heels” celebrated her birthday on October 14 by throwing a “Myx Monster Bash” costume party at The Park 112 in Harlem. Guests included BSH cast members Daisy Lewellyn, Mica Hughes and Chantelle Fraser, along with Bershan Shaw from OWN’s “Love in the City.” Attendees danced to tunes from DJ John Quick while enjoying the refreshing natural flavors of MYX Fusion Moscato’s Mango, Peach, Coconut and Original Moscato wine beverages………
As the feud between Snoop Dogg and Iggy Izalea rages on, the “Fancy” femcee’s basketball playing boyfriend has now chimed in. Los Angeles Lakers star Nick Young took to Twitter to defend his lady, tweeting: “Ain’t nobody worried about no Snoop Lion…The dude just goin’ thru a midlife crisis. You Go Get Convertible yet?…..OG’s out here.” The online feud began after 42-year-old Snoop Dogg posted an insulting meme mocking a recent photo of Iggy not wearing makeup. Snoop finally did apologize to Iggy……….
Tongues are wagging that Stevie Wonder and his fiancee Tameeka Robyn Bracy are expecting triplets after reportedly secretly having a baby together last year. “Stevie never thought he’d be a father again so late in life,” a source told the National Enquirer, adding, “it may not have been planned but now he’s excited.” Wonder, who already has eight children has moved into his fiancee’s Los Angeles home. The singer is prepping for a nationwide tour called “Songs In The Key of Life.”………
“Today” show third hour co-anchor Tamron Hall took one for the team recently. Doctors diagnosed Tamron with a deep muscle tear developed from screaming too much during a weekend trip to a haunted house. Al Roker, Natalie Morales and Willie Geist joined Hall for a taping at the Brighton Asylum haunted house in Passaic, New Jersey on October 17. On the way home Tamron complained of stomach pain, which got worse the next morning. She went to the hospital, got checked out and was told she had a deep muscle tear. The house takes an estimated 20 minutes to go through and Tamron was reportedly screaming the whole time………
