Talk about a whirlwind weekend. On February 24, Sean “Diddy” Combs hosted a party at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut, that ended up with rapper turned “Love and Hip Hop” star Jim Jones getting arrested for being in a brawl that broke out afterwards. From there, His Diddyness flew to Orlando where he made himself part of NBA All-Star Weekend’s Slam Dunk contest on February 25, coming to the aid the Houston Rockets’ Chase Budinger, who did a soaring one-handed dunk over Puffy’s head. By the evening of February 26, Combs was in Hollywood on the red carpet for the Oscars. Afterwards, the tireless entrepreneur, who executive produced the Oscar-winning documentary “Undefeated,” popped on stage while the filmmakers spoke to the media. The mogul had a glass of champagne in his hand and walked on stage quickly and held up his glass without saying a word.

The day before the Oscars, in the official presenter gift lounge at the 2012 Film Independent Spirit Awards on Santa Monica Beach, actress Garcelle Beauvais was in a relaxed mood as she entered the Wella Professionals Beauty Bar explaining the current balance she has in her life at the moment. Apart from keeping her body fit with exercise and even occasional cardio striptease classes at Crunch, the star is currently anticipating the release of her upcoming film, “Flight,” starring opposite Denzel Washington.

My dear friend, Roger Neal of the Roger Neal Style Hollywood Oscar Suite did a private party in the showroom of Rodeo Drive Jewelry Designer Raju Rasiah with Oscar nominee for Best Original Song Siedah Garrett. Raju gifted her with a Mother of Pearl ring. Neal also gave Siedah a Timmy Woods gold paved small clutch. When she saw the bag, Siedah screamed with delight and said: “I was having a handbag dilemma and this bag goes with my gown for the Oscars. Siedah also received Candoni Champagne and Lipsmart GM Collin Skincare, among many other items in her $15,000 gift bag.

Beauty and Style expert Mikki Taylor, author of the new book, “Commander in Chic…..Every Woman’s Guide to Managing Her Style Like a First Lady” hosted her First Annual “Commander In Chic: An Evening of Style and Purpose” dinner on February 24 at the L’Ermitage Hotel in Beverly Hills. The event was presented by Kelly Vlahakis-Hanks of Earth Friendly Products, hair loss specialist Dr. William Yates, Gnarly Head Wines, and Moet & Chandon champagne. Guests included Alfre Woodard, Loretta Devine, Tracee Ellis Ross, Anika Noni Rose and Laila Ali.

Halle Berry, fiance Olivier Martinez and daughter Nahla stepped out on a sunny Sunday for a seafood lunch in Malibu, California. The actress was scheduled to present at the Oscars, which were the same day, but was unable to because of a foot injury. Halle wore a boot protect her foot as she walked to the restaurant with her family.
