Styling a white Louis Vuitton pants suit and a new pixie cut hair-do, Vivica A. Fox dazzled on the red carpet at the “Men In Black III” premiere at the Ziegfeld Theatre in New York City, as she mingled with Donald and Melania Trump and Jerry and Jessica Seinfeld. At the post-party onboard the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum, Will Smith performed a medley of his hits with his children Jaden and Willow and BFF DJ Jazzy Jeff. There were also fireworks and celebs in attendance included Will’s co-stars Nicole Scherzinger, Tommy Lee Jones and Josh Brolin.
Kanye West debuted his short film, “Cruel Summer,” to an audience of 200 on May 23 at the Cannes Film Festival in a parking lot along the water at the Palm Beach in a pyramid-shaped tent. The film follows a Lamborghini car thief played by Kid Cudi who meets a beautiful and mysterious blind Arabic woman, who uses golden strings tied throughout her house to navigate around. Her father says he can only marry her if he can help her see. Kanye was joined by his girlfriend Kim Kardashian and Jay-Z sans Beyonce’, who was getting ready for her return to the concert stage in Atlantic City last weekend.
Secret Society is a fresh, innovative underground rap group from Lanham, Maryland. Three of the members of the group, which is comprised of Cash Lewis, Jonesey, Amsterdam Drastik and Bones, are a sister and two brothers. They have been performing as a group for three years and are signed to indie label Fenix Dynast Entertainment. Extremely enterprising, Secret Society owns and operates their very own studio, production company and clothing line: Secret Society, Numonie, and also contributes to various charities in their hometown. They are managed by Paula Wilkins, who has transitioned their family owned business into a brand. Look for Secret Society to heat up the summer charts and clubs with their hot hits “Game Time,” “Smoke It all” and “On Da Grind.”
Recently, Brotherhood/Sister Sol hosted their annual Voices Benefit highlighting their youth and life changing programs. It was hosted by actor Boris Kodjoe and special guests included artist/humanitarian Harry Belafonte and Wyclef Jean. The VOICES 8 honorees were: Bill Lynch- Former Vice Chair of the Democratic National Committee, Ana L. Oliviera – President and Chief Executive Officer of The New York Women’s Foundation, Nina and Theodore V. Wells, Jr. – Nina is the former Secretary of State of New Jersey and Ted is Partner and Co-Chair of the Litigation department at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton and Garrison LLP. All of the honorees embody Bro/Sis’ mission of educating, inspiring and transforming today’s youth.
Well, no wonder Rocsi Diaz announced she was heading out to Hollywood once her contract with “106 & Park” ends. She and Eddie Murphy seem to be a hot new couple. Although she tweeted that they are just friends who were getting coffee together, the coosome twosome was spotted leaving the Coffee Bean in Beverly Hills holding hands. Rocsi also tweeted: ‘When you follow the things that bring you bliss, life has a way of placing doors where there used to be walls.” Eddie was most recently linked to Toni Braxton.
