R&B singer Mario, tells UsMagazine.com exclusively that he isn’t “allowed to comment” on his recent arrest for allegedly roughing up his mother. But he wants to make one thing clear to fans: “I love my mother very much.” A source tells Us the fight allegedly broke out because of her lifelong battle with drugs. The source says Mario learned his mother had withdrawn money from his bank account to support her debilitating habit and also charged up his credit cards. When he got home, he found her “cracked out on drugs,” the source says. Though he was taken into custody, the source says the singer did nothing wrong; he was only trying to help calm down his mother. The source suspects all charges will be dropped. Says Mario: “I will continue to support her any way that I can.”

One lucky Rihanna fan in London got to pose with her fashion idol at the Rihanna Styles Competition at Topshop Oxford Circus recently . He may no longer be among us, but, Michael Jackson Presents: “Sisterella” will soon be alive on a Los Angeles stage in April, 2011. Grammy-award winner Larry Hart, who wrote the book, music and lyrics for the urban tale, which is based on “Cinderella,” tells me: “We are keeping in the components that Michael loved about it, but, adding a few things to update it. I am blessed and thrilled to see ‘Sisterella’ come to the stage again and for Michael’s legacy to continue on.” Produced by former Jackson associates Frank Dileo and Jerry Greenberg, the play will star Michael’s nephew, T.J. as Prince Jean Luc.

According to Essence.com, American Idol winner, Broadway star, and platinum-selling artist Jordin Sparks is adding yet another job title – perfumier – to her ever-expanding resume. Jordin is launching her debut fragrance, Because Of You. The fruity-floral type scent, is blended with clementine, baby orchid, vanilla bean, Baltic amber and sheer music. Sounds like a winner.

The God Mother of Hip Hop and R&B, Lil Mo, rocked the “Where I Want To Be Concert” in New York City on Friday, October 1, performing some of her greatest hits. Many in the audience were up out of their seats singing along with Lil Mo as tore down the Paradise Theatre in the Bronx, NYC. There were also performances by Jon B, Avant, SWV and Donnell Jones, all who put on a great show, taking it back for those who were in attendance, loving each moment. Lil Mo has a new album, “Tattoos and Rose” (The Rebellion Against Pain), coming out soon.
