27 year-old Richard Franco was arrested at Halle Berry’s Hollywood Hills home when he returned a third time late July 12. Law enforcement sources told TMZ the man jumped over the back wall at Halle’s home right around 11 p.m. This time her private security-off-duty police officers – were watching the suspect on a security cameras he entered the grounds. They quickly nabbed the guy and called LAPD officers to the scene – who arrested and booked him on suspicion of felony stalking. The cops believe this is the same man Halle spotted in her backyard on July 9 and 10.

Rihanna just keeps expanding her brand. Everyone who knows me knows that the American Black Film Festival (ABFF) is my favorite event in the world. Last weekend’s festival was the 15th Annual festival on South Beach in Miami. With the exception of last year, I have been to every last one beginning in Acapulco and the two years it was held in Los Angeles. This year I went as the guest of one of the sponsors, Cadillac. And, I have to say from the moment I was picked up at the airport in a Cadillac SRX to when I was taken back to the airport in an Escalade, thanks to Cadillac and its’ classy staff, I experienced the best festival ever. From revealing my greatest Cadillac memories in the Cadillac Lounge, to having breakfast with a minority dealer, as well as sharing meals with wonderful people like GM’s Jocelyn Allen and Nina Price, making a new friend, Jewel Figueras, and reconnecting with my old friend, Sheree Whitfield of the Real Housewives of Atlanta, it was a first class ride all the way.

More about the festival…..Film Life’s 15th Annual American Black Film Festival (ABFF) announced the winners of their independent film awards at the Fillmore/Jackie Gleason Theater on July 9. The ABFF Honors was hosted by actors Regina King and Anthony Anderson. Anderson and King thanked Jeff Friday and the festival for giving them a venue where they could see a host of black films, whether they ad distribution or not. Anderson also thanked Friday for giving him his first award, the festival’s Rising Star Award in 2000, and for being named ambassador for the 2007 ABFF. This festival brought out hundreds of filmgoers and credit goes to one of the guys I admire most in this world, Jeff Friday, CEO of Film Life and founder of the American Black Film Festival.
