Lauryn Hill
just bought herself a couple of weeks of freedom. The songstress was to be sentenced for prison time on April 22 after pleading guilty to not filing tax
returns for 2005-2007. However, the sentencing was moved to May 6 to give Lauryn time to repay a portion of her $968,000 tax debt. Lauryn’s attorney said
the singer recently signed a million dollar recording deal with SONY, and, that she is also planning to take out a $650,000 loan to put toward the bill.
While Lauryn faces several years in prison, she and her attorney have asked the judge to put her on probation so that she can continue to work and care for
her children.

After not being photographed together for three weeks, Kanye West and his pregnant baby- mama -to- be, Kim Kardashian,
were spotted together on April 22 in the Soho section of Manhattan. The coosome twosome was staying at the Trump Soho hotel. Meanwhile, rumor has it that
GQ public shouldn’t be so hard on Kanye’s absence. It’s being reported that the rapper has been spending upwards of $100,000 on private jets from Paris to
Los Angeles to be with Kim for her doctor’s visits. Kanye is currently recording his next album in the City of Lights.

Life With La Toya is very busy. In between episodes of her hit OWN reality series, La Toya breezed into New York City for the premiere of
“Dancing In Jaffa,” which she executive produced, at the Tribeca Film Festival on April 20. La Toya was especially excited when she turned around and saw
actor James Franco sitting behind her in the audience. Says La Toya: “He told me: ‘I loved your movie. It’s a great story.” “Dancing With Jaffa” revolves
around Palestinians and Israelians in the Middle East coming together after watching their children learn to ballroom dance together. Meanwhile, “Life With
La Toya’s” debut had record breaking ratings on OWN with 1.5 million viewers tuning in. The show airs Saturday nights at 10:30 PM. Aside from her show, La
Toya is also executive producing five other reality series.
