Kanye West presented his Yeezy Season 5 Collection during New York Fashion Week

Kanye West had an eventful few days in New York City. The controversial rapper/fashion designer and his wife Kim Kardashian, reportedly shared a romantic dinner together at Carbone restaurant on Valentine’s Day. The following afternoon, Kayne presented his Yeezy Season 5 Collection during New York Fashion Week at Pier 59 Studios. Sources say the collection was so “shrouded in secrecy” that the models’ phones were confiscated — even during rehearsals — and Kanye banned guests from taking pictures of the show. Plus, many members of the media who had Fashion Week credentials, couldn’t attend. Celebs in the audience included Kardashian, her BFF La La Anthony, Vogue editrix Anna Wintour, Kylie Jenner and Tyga and Teyana Taylor………..

Since we’re chatting about Taylor, aside from attending Kanye’s show, the bronze beauty hit the red carpet at the premiere of her new series, “The Breaks,” alongside co-stars Tristan Wilds and Antoine Harris, which was held later that night at the Roxy Hotel. “The Breaks” premieres February 20 on VH1. Meanwhile, Taylor tells the March issue of GQ Magazine that she married her “longtime love” NBA player Iman Shumpert, in their bathroom………

Former world champion Thomas Hearns, who along with Sugar Ray Leonard, Marvelous Marvin Hagler and Roberto Duran dominated boxing in the 1980s and became known collectively as “The Four Kings,”  headlines a 14-person class of inductees into the Nevada Boxing Hall of Fame, Hall CEO/president Michelle Corrales-Lewis announced February 15. Hearns was chosen in the non-Nevada resident boxer category, along with Michael Spinks, Erik Morales, Michael Carbajal, women’s boxing star Lucia Rijker and Salvador Sanchez. Elected in the Nevada resident boxer category was Ken Norton, Leon Spinks and Richie Sandoval. Norton, Sanchez and Ghanem will be inducted posthumously. The members of the Nevada Boxing Hall of Fame’s star-studded fifth-induction class will be honored at a gala dinner at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas on Saturday, August 12………….

The Apollo Theater, in partnership with World Music Institute, presents the fifth installment of the Africa Now! concert, celebrating the best of the contemporary African music scene, on Saturday, March 11 at 8 pm in New York City. This year’s concert will be hosted by South African comedian Lociso Sola featuring performances from Mbongwana Star, Songhoy Blues, Daby Toure’, TUELO and DJ Nemim — artists who have drawn from their African roots for inspiration and transplanted them onto the global music landscape………
