With the streets of midtown Manhattan from Herald Square to Time Square transformed into Super Bowl Boulevard, as well as all of the parties happening throughout the five boroughs and New Jersey. The entire area was turned into Super Bowl frenzy. At the actual game on February 2 at Met Life Center in New Jersey, where the Seattle Seahawks defeated the Denver Broncos 43-8, there were quite a few Super Bowl Records set. They included quickest score from start of the game – 12 seconds, Seattle……..Most playing time in the lead, game – 59 minutes, 48 seconds, Seattle…..Most completions, game -34, Peyton Manning……..Most receptions, Game -13, Demariyus Thomas……..Most Super Bowls lost – Team-5, Denver……MOST COMPLETIONS, GAME, TEAM- 34, DENVER…….
Prefunc Ambassador Five-Time World Boxing Champion Zab Judah, NBA legend Charles Oakley, Two-Time Super Bowl winner Bobby Hamilton of the New England Patriots, Philanthropist Jean Shafiroff, Jazz Maestro Mino and the Empress of R&B Natasha C. Coward, were just a few of the A-listers who hit the Cafe on Broadway on Super Bowl Eve to join Prefunc’s executives led by Viraj Gandhi, in a Salute to the Media. Enjoying an open bar after drinking a shot of the hangover herbal supplement, guests noshed on a football menu which included assorted pizzas, chicken wings, chicken tenders, quiche and assorted cheeses and fruit. Each guest left with an exquisite gift bag filled with Prefunc, DVDs 2 Guns, starring Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg as well as Super Bowl XLVIII media pins. Jamie Foxx may not have played in the Super Bowl, but he was the star of the entire weekend. The Oscar winner was spotted at the Direct TV Super Saturday bash, in the Media Center on Radio Row, seen dancing while Tyrese, Ginuwine and Tank performed at the Sneakers and Bowties party sponsored by Heineken and Jose Cuervo. He also attended NFL Honors on February 1 at Radio City Music Hall, and was at Met Life Center on February 2 at least two hours before the kick-off on the Red Carpet………..
On February 2, Myx Fusions Moscato hosted a special “Myx & Mingle” Super Bowl bash along with actor/comedian Kevin Hart at Stage 48 in New York City. Various VIPs were “in the Myx” for the “Big Game Viewing Party” which featured music by Mr. Cee and DJ Camelo. Attendees included Bun B, Kid Capri, Fat Man Scoop, Treach, Lenny Santiago, Adrienne Bailon as well as “Love & Hip Hop” stars Peter Gunz, Amina Buddafly, Erica Jean, “Love & Hip Hop NY” alum Emily Bistamonte and many more………
Super Bowl XLVIII MVP Malcolm Smith took a ride in a parade with Mickey Mouse while visiting the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World on February 3 in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. The 24 year-old Seattle Seahawks linebacker caught a flight out of the Big Apple just hours after winning the Super Bowl with his team in a slam dunk victory. Moments after the win, Malcolm shouted to the cameras “I’m going to Disney World” and he did just that. Malcolm is now featured in a brand new commercial for the theme park, which features Taye Diggs’ estranged wife Idina Menzel singing “When You Wish Upon A Star.”…….
