Grammy award-winning singer and actress Ashanti is featured in the new Marc Jacobs Campaign to reintroduce the Stam Bag. Paris Hilton, Selma Blair, Ashlee Simpson and namesake Jessica Stam are also in the campaign. Originally named after model Jessica Stam in 2005 before being retired in 2013, the Marc Jacobs Stam bag is the latest addition to the (M) Archives collection of timeless accessories. Made in Italy and retaining all authentic details from the original, the Stam is offered in two sizes: classic and small.
To celebrate “leaders of the new school,” who are making their mark in Hollywood, Ebony Magazine hosted a pre-Oscars dinner at the Merois restaurant at the Pendry Hotel in West Hollywood on March 7, reports the iconic publication. Honorees included “Snowfall’s” Damson Idris, Marvel actor Yahya Abdull-Mateen II, “Queen Charlotte” actress India Ria Amarteifio and “Barbie” actor Ncuti Gatwa. Other notable attendees included Le Keith Stanfield, Jay Pharoah, Amber Riley, Tyler Lepley, Teyona Parris and more. According to Ebony, everyone enjoyed a delicious three-course meal and drink pairings from the evening’s wine sponsor Cardinale.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have made Tyler Perry the godfather of their daughter Princess Lilibet. According to People, the billionaire filmmaker was one of the 20-30 guests in attendance at the toddler’s christening on March 3. Although the rest of the royal family was invited, King Charles, Queen Camilla, Prince William and Kate Middleton, did not attend. Meghan’s mom, Doria Ragland was also at the christening. A spokesperson for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, told People, “I can confirm that Princess Lilibet Diana was christened on Friday, March 3rd by the Archbishop of Los Angeles, the Rev. John Taylor.” Following King Charles becoming monarch after their great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth II died last September, Archie, 3, and Lilibet were given the titles of prince and princess under rules set out by King George V in 1917.
Stellar Award winner, James Fortune released a new single in collaboration with R&B songstress Monica, titled, “Trusting God.” The song is a new inspirational record to keep God’s people focused on his promise. The collaboration comes over a decade after their Grammy-nominated song “Hold On” alongside Fred Hammond. The track can be downloaded and streamed anywhere music is sold. Fortune’s latest album “My Life” was nominated for outstanding Gospel/christian album at the 54th annual NAACP Image Awards.
