Tongues are wagging that Mo’Nique revealed to my mentor Cindy Adams that her Oscar dress will be gold. The gown is being designed by Tom and Linda Platt. Mo’Nique says they have been dressing her since her Apollo days when nobody knew or cared who Mo’Nique was. They took her on and made fabulous gowns for her. She’s been with them for nine years and she would never ever take this big opportunity from them and wear some other designer’s clothes. She says Tim and Linda deserve this night and she wants to give it to them. This will be Mo’Nique’s first time going to the Oscars. She is heading out this week and will be staying in her house in Los Angeles. Sunday morning, she’ll be with her hairstylist, fashion stylist, videographer and her husband, Sidney Hicks.

The poor dear ate alone.
