Harlem Fashion Row’s Style Awards honors Spike Lee

Nissan Diversity took the opening night of New York Fashion Week by storm as the automotive giant was the main sponsor for Harlem Fashion Row’s Style Awards at La Marina in the Washington Heights Section of Manhattan. The elegant evening included dinner, the awards show in which acclaimed director Spike Lee and Fashion Bomb Daily Publisher Claire Summers were honored. The awards were ended with a moving speech by Brandice Daniel, followed by a fabulous fashion show and cocktails. Darla Turner, Nissan Manager Corporate Communications and Jocelyn K. Allen, founder of the Allen Lewis Agency (TALA) flew in for the festivities which were also attended by Fashion icons Audrey Smaltz and Micki Garth Taylor, producer Sidra Smith, Geneva Thomas, Danielle Belton and theYBF Founder Natasha Eubanks.……..

Emmy award-winning casting director and talent executive Robi Reed, Founder of The Reed For Hope Foundation (RFHF), presented the 14th Annual “Sunshine Beyond Summer” (SBS) Celebration – The Day Party with a Purpose on Sunday, September 3 at a private estate in Holmby Hills, California. Hundreds of celebrities and influencers attended this health-themed awareness event and annual fundraiser, including host Tasha Smith, performers Estelle and Doug E. Fresh, DJ D-Nice, BET CEO Debra Lee, LisaRaye McCoy, T.I., Garcelle Beauvais and John Singleton………..

Society journalist/columnist extraordinaire Audrey J. Bernard was presented with the Roy Wilkins Arts, Culture & Media Award at the NAACP Mid-Manhattan Branch 16th Annual Freedom Fund Awards Luncheon on Saturday, September 9, 2017. The exquisite affair, which included a magnum of Moet Chandon Champagne on every table took place at Marina del Rey on the water in Bronx, New York. It was attended by 450 of New York City’s most prestigious individuals including City Comptroller Scott Stringer, Congressman Charles Rangel, Hazel Dukes, Gregory Eaton, Voza Rivers, the Tate Family, Irene Gandy, Jeanne Parnell, honoree Cheryl Wills, a multitude of judges, Steve Manning. Concious rapper/lyricist Kyle Knight, whose hit single “Hey Sister” is heating up the charts, debuted his video recently at a fabulous soiree at Ashford & Simpson’s Sugar Bar.  “Hey Sister” addresses abusive relationships and female empowerment.
