Tongues are wagging that Gabrielle Union and Dwayne Wade slayed on the red carpet “Night on the Runwade” charity gala at the Revel Fulton Market on March 19 in Chicago, Illinois. The Chicago Bulls player’s “DSquared2” presented fall and winter looks during the “Reflections” fashion show. An auction was also held to support Wade’s foundation which focuses on educational and social programs for at-risk children…………

After keeping fans waiting for months, Drake released his new CD “More Life” on March 18 on OVC Sound Radio. The Toronto rapper kicked off his new project by mentioning his ex-girlfriend Jennifer Lopez on the playlist. On the opening track, “Free Smoke,” Drake hints that JLo has changed her phone number since their break-up last month, with the emcee rapping, “I drunk text JLo/old number, so it bounce back.” Later on the album, he samples the “Shades of Blue” star’s 1999 debut single, “If You Had My Love” on the song “Teenage Lover.” Since their breakup, which Drake doesn’t seem to be over, Jennifer has started dating baseball superstar Alex Rodriguez, whom she recently spent time with in Florida. Rumor has it that Jen’s friends feel she’s moving too fast with the former Yankee slugger……….

Comedian Michael Colyar presents “Michael Colyar’s Momma,” a dramatic one-man stage production opening the weekends of Friday, April 7-9 and April 14-16 at the ACME Comedy Theater in Hollywood, California. The 100-city nationwide tour presented by The Rayloc Group and a bunch of folks with money, kicks off in Los Angeles, California. The show chronicles the life of the comedian and highlights the importance of the love and support of his mother, as he travels through a life of highs and lows…………

The African American Women In Cinema (AAWIC) Film Festival kicked off March 22 at the National Black Theatre in Harlem, with the film, “Everything But a Man,” directed by Nnegest Likke and starring Monica Calhoun of “Best Man Holiday.” Running through March 25, the AAWIC Film Festival will feature a panel on The State of Women in the Media, a VIP Gala Awards, and Filmmakers luncheon…………
