Prior to one of his bodyguards, Greg La Rosa, getting shot in the wee hours of the morning on April 9, Floyd “Money” Mayweather, Jr., was the special VIP Host at Medusa Nightclub in Atlanta. According to reports, the boxing champion seemed to be having a great time. After leaving Medusa, his caravan of three UV’s was fired at after the entourage enjoyed an early breakfast at a Waffle House, as they returned to the Intercontinental Buckhead Hotel around 2 a.m. when a vehicle puled alongside them and multiple shots rang out. My sources say the attack was a set-up to rob the flamboyant undefeated fighter of the infamous backpack he carries that is always stuffed with at least $80,000 in cash. Meanwhile, La Rosa was shot in the leg and has been released from the hospital……..
Celebrity author and philanthropist Jean Shafiroff and Martin Shafiroff hosted a reception on the Upper East Side of Manhattan in New York City on Wednesday, April 4 to celebrate Surgeons of Hope’s upcoming One Night of Hope Gala. Surgeons of Hope is a nonprofit striving to ensure that pediatric heart surgeon are available to the world’s most under-resourced regions. Mrs. Shafiroff, who was honored by Surgeons of Hope at a previous Gala, has been to Nicaragua where she witnessed the children being treated. This year’s Gala will be held on Thursday, May 3 at the Le Bernadin Prive’ by Eric Rupert in the Big Apple. ……..
According to veteran actor Richard Lawson, the husband of Beyonce and Solange Knowles’ mother, Tina Knowles Lawson, the Tiffany Haddish/ Beyonce Bitegate story, that named Sanaa Lathan as the culprit, is an urban tall tale. Richard, who is currently starring in the upcoming BET new series In Contempt, and is the father of “Queen Sugar” actress Bianca Lawson, reportedly told a source: “It was something that was blown out of proportion and Tiffany just got a ride from doing it. And so her numbers probably went up. Other people jumped on the bandwagon and it’s all a bunch of B.S. It’s not real. It’s not true.”………….
