A judge has given Dr. Conrad Murray the maximum sentence, of four years in prison, for his conviction in the involuntary manslaughter of Michael Jackson. However, a new law in California, will actually prevent Murray from serving time in prison. Instead, he’ll end up staying in the Los Angeles County Jail for at most only two years of his sentence. Judge Michael Pastor also ruled that Conrad must pay an $800 fine.

Says Reverend Al Sharpton: “The sentencing of Dr. Conrad Murray to four years in prison by no means ends the injustice suffered by Michael Jackson nor does it in any way mitigate the fact that his children have lost a father and the Jacksons have lost a son for the rest of their life. While I approve that the Judge gave the highest sentence permitted by law and that he used hard language in condemning Dr. Murray’s recklessness, the sentence is light compared to the damage Dr. Murray and those that may have participated (and went unpunished) have received in relation to the damages they have done.”

Usher was headed back to court on November 30 to battle his ex-wife Tameka Foster. Sources claim that Tameka is angry about Usher closing her Saks Fifth Avenue charge account, so she’s seeking to gain full custody of the couple’s two sons, Usher V, 3 and Navyid, 2. Tameka wants full custody and says that Usher’s income has increased significantly since their divorce, and she’s asking the court to grant her more child support “because of his success.” She also says Usher promised to pay $5,000 per month so she could have her own nanny for the kids – but he hasn’t paid in months, and now owes $34,000 worth of payments.

It was recently reported that Bow Wow allegedly owed the government over $90,000 in back taxes to the IRS. After hearing rumors, the rapper penned an open letter to his fans about his upcoming projects and explained that the story is completely false. He wrote: “That’s once again ‘Not True’ as I am sitting in my beautiful condo as of Right Now that TMZ said I didn’t have anymore.”

Just in time for the holidays, “Real Housewives of Atlanta” castmember Kandi Burruss is bringing a new twist to a classic card game. Introducing Kandi Koated Spades, the first “urban” Spades app for iPhone/iPad users – now available in the iTunes App Store. Kandi will celebrate the launch of the Spades app at a private game party in Atlanta next week. Says Kandi: “Me and my family are avid Spades players. So when the opportunity to create Kandi Koated Spades presented itself, I jumped at the chance to share this unique app with my fans.”

According to the Chicago Sun Times, friends of Eva Longoria say there just may be something going on with the actress and Los Angeles Laker Matt Barnes- despite all the “we’re just working on a charity event together” chatter by both the actress and the pro hoopster. Actress Penelope Cruz reportedly is a bit irked that Eva may be two-timing her brother Eduardo, whom Penelope fixed up with the ‘Desperate Housewives” star in the first place.
