Billy Porter is the first amateur stylist to attend Quarancuts Virtual Hair School via Zoom

To help remedy the challenge of hair salons and barbershops being closed during the COVID-19 lockdown, New York Men’s Grooming Boutique, Barba, in partnership with agency Terri and Sandy, has launched the Quarancuts Virtual Hair School via Zoom. The class is taught by Barba’s owner and master stylist, Xavier Cruz. Every ground-breaking initiative must have a first star and the first amateur stylist to attend Quarancuts was Grammy,Tony and Emmy award-winning actor Billy Porter, who enlisted to cut his husband Adam Smith’s hair. Of his first Quarancuts experience, the “Pose” star said: “My nerves faded away with Xavier’s guidance. Humbling and Fabulous!”……….

United States Federal Judge, the Honorable Jed Rakoff, in a written decision on April 13, has found Damon Dash and Poppington LLC responsible for trademark and copyright infringement after a three day trial in the Southern District of New York. Dash and Poppington LLC have been ordered to pay author, creator, and owner of “Mafietta” E.W. Brooks the sum of $300,000 for their illegal and unauthorized streaming of her film on Dame Dash Studio. Brooks, a female African-American writer and part of a military family presently serving our country in South Korea, was extremely pleased with the decision……. 


According to, over 300,000 meals have been served through the Los Angeles Dream Center since mid-March. With support early on from Kanye West and businesses like Chick-Fil-A, the Dream Center has been providing 11,000 meals a day in the second largest school district in America. Because of the rapper and clothing designer’s support, the charity has been able to expand their drive-thru meals to delivering to seniors who need to remain isolated in their homes…………
