At press time, the Atlanta Journal Constitution reported that Grammy-winning rapper T.I. was headed back to Atlanta and may soon be ordered to face the federal judge who signed off on an extraordinary deal that shaved years off a potential prison term. T.I.’s arrest last week in Los Angeles for suspicion of possession of methamphetamines could trigger a motion by his probation officer. The officer could ask U.S. District Judge Charles Parnell Jr. to revoke some of the remaining probation on T.I.’s federal sentence stemming from his arrest for attempting to buy weapons in 2007. His probation expires in 2013. This is the second time that T.I.’s wife Tameka “Tiny” Cottle has been arrested for possession of ecstasy. She was arrested for possession of marijuana and ecstasy during the sting operation that resulted in T.I.’s arrest in 2007.
