Mayor Kenney reports first coronavirus death in Philadelphia

Mayor Kenney:

Deeply saddened to report the first death of a Philadelphia resident related to the COVID-19 coronavirus. Our prayers are with the family and loved ones of this person.” ~Mayor Kenney via Twitter

The Philadelphia resident is in his 50’s.

“We certainly expect more deaths in the future,” Health Commissioner Dr. Thomas Farley said during the Wednesday March 25 press conference held daily.

As of SUN press time there are 342 residents who have tested positive for the virus.

Mayor also reminded persons to stay home including refraining from socializing on street corners. This virus is deadly said Kenney.
