When you wake up in the morning, what do you focus on? The good day ahead, the things that went wrong yesterday, or all the chores that have to be done around your house? What is your focus today?
After getting myself together to leave for work, I realized the main focus in life is God. Transformation also begins when we focus our movements, thoughts, desires, words, and actions on ourselves and others. Do we have God as the main focus in all those things that we are doing?
As we leave our homes today, it’s with the hope that we will return the same way we left. If we begin to focus on the positive in life, the good things around us, the focus really comes down to people — how they treat you, what they say to you, and how they make you feel. It is then necessary to turn the focus inward when considering ourselves.
Focusing on ourselves is the first step to changing the focus in our everyday lives. Our best practices require us to do and be our best, which goes beyond excellence. No one is looking for perfection, because that does not exist — only Jesus, Allah, or whoever your higher belief is in, are perfect in this world. Establish a plan based on your purposes so that you can develop into a proficient and profound individual with a focus on who God wants you to be.
2022 is coming to an end — enter 2023 with a different mindset by changing your focus. Think about what it is you are going to say before you open your mouth, listen closer to what others are saying with an unjudging spirit, and hang onto that transforming focus because you are going to need it. Until next time…PEACE!
