Wanting to share with you a revelation —  leaves being used as a metaphor.

A metaphor is a figure of speech in which a word or phrase literally denoting one kind of object or ideas is used in place of another to suggest a likeness or analogy between them.

Leaves, in the sense of how we are to “leave” whatever is holding us down with negative energy, where things are not positive, uplifting, moving and growing.  We have to learn how to “leave” that stuff behind!

Whatever that looks like, whoever that touches, whatever that outlet that you may have, that person that you have to let go, that job that you must say goodbye to, maybe a marriage or maybe even yourself, because you have to make significant changes in your life.

Whatever that negative energy is —that thing that has you held down  when you are bound in your own energy and in the lack of your own self worth — must go.

A leaf is something that falls from the tree; it is a seasonal encounter. It often happens every 3 months and particularly in the autumn. Those autumn leaves fall from the tree in various colors.  The colors are changing due to the chlorophyll, transforming them into various colors: yellow, orange, rust, purple, red, orangey-red; so many vibrant and beautiful colors..

Whether you realized it or not, saints, that tree standing bare at the end of autumn reminds us of that thing we have to do — leave it behind!  As that tree stands tall and bare, it does not fall, it does not falter, it doesn’t even fight, or pose the question to GOD as to ‘why have my leaves left me?’  ‘Why do I have to stand alone all by myself naked with nothing to cover me?’

The trees don’t ask GOD those kinds of questions, because the trees know that GOD is going to clothe them again in the next season that we call spring.  The only remnants that remain are nests that haven’t disappeared from the birds or various items that may still be lingering on the tree, and their branches.  They are just leafless because the leaves had to fall and they had to go and be cleaned up so that when the next season comes, the tree is refreshed and is brand new, confident that it is going to blossom, boast and display  brand new leaves — leaves that start off in all the same color.

There may be green or pink leaves, but whatever those colors are that the tree starts with, ooh JESUS, that is the color that stays for the entire season, or two or three, and then the transformation begins, the leaves start to take change as the seasons move into another new zone.

That is how we have to look at life sometimes; those leaves fall because it is a cleansing of the tree, the buds are showing, new leaves appear, that’s like life, y’all.  You become a new bud whenever you decide it is your cleansing season.

It doesn’t have to be a leaf, winter,  fall or spring, it can be whatever season you choose.

Keep in mind that GOD will order your steps as you walk through your own life seasons.  Don’t allow your “falling leaves” to get raked up, bagged, and tossed aside.  You don’t want to be recycled, saint — you want to be renewed and refreshed as your leaves blossom fresh and new each season of your life.  Get ready, receive what belongs to you as you walk into a new season of your life today!….PEACE!
