The school bell is ringing and children are going back to school, be it elementary, high school or college, or better yet, you are enhancing your own life by going back to get more credits to obtain that degree.

As I sat at the beach recently, observing all of us getting it in on a beautiful day that God gave to us, it was breezy, cool, the sun was shining, and people were enjoying what we call “the last weekend of the summer.”

Now that Labor Day has come and gone, people that were off for the summer are now getting back into the groove of going back to the office. Then, we have a massive storm system that just knocks everything out of whack as we still walk forward in whatever is out there for us.  So as our summer is coming to an end, what is it that you are going to do to prepare for what is ahead of you?

Are you going to continue to just sit on the couch and do nothing, or are you going to get up and get out and make a difference in your community?  Volunteer at a school, help a child who is in need — getting an education today is nothing like it has ever been before.

Why don’t you begin something new, something different, something that allows you to be a staple in the community, a difference in your own heart? Imagine all the lives that will change just from your small gesture.

It is technically still summer according to the calendar, so enjoy these final days doing whatever it is that summer looks like for you, because here comes the fall, y’all!….PEACE!
