We say there is a beast,
a beast out there
Yet when we look up,
we see who that beast is
The beast is our black man,
our brothahs of the present, here, and now
He is a beast because he is
searching and striving for more
He is a beast because he wants his
family to learn and grow
He is a beast because he loves himself
and gives his people support and honor
He is a beast because he is strong
and succeeds in his goals set for his life
He is a beast because he must continue to beat down
and one day knock down the walls of freedom
Black men are not beasts!
Black men are survivors!
Black men are carriers!
Black men are a black woman’s love!
I Love You Black Man!!!…PEACE!
