Philadelphia Gas Works to decrease natural gas rates

PGW today announced that it will decrease what residential customers pay for natural gas. The average residential heating customer will pay about 2.2 percent less per month for the next three months. The change reflects a decrease in the forecasted price of the gas purchased from suppliers.

City Council schedules additional redistricting hearings

City Council announced details for two more public hearings to be held for the purpose of receiving public testimony concerning Councilmanic redistricting. These will be held outside of Center City Philadelphia and are in addition to a hearing scheduled for Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. in Council chambers.
