The Season of the Arts at Vivant; Cultural Paint Day and Neo-Soul, Jazz and cocktails
Vivant continues the summer celebration by proudly presenting "The Season of the Arts," a calendar of artistic programs for the summer 2010 in Philadelphia. The Summer Community Arts Campaign will expand art awareness and build partnerships between arts institutions, galleries and local artists. In addition, Vivant plans to provide artistic endeavors and education programs that will benefit and provide opportunities to the community in the arts and culture sector.
Vivant will host several events throughout the summer, including "Paint Days" lead by professional artists and educators in which the community is invited to an inspirational day of cultural arts and to create their own artwork. The paint days will be inspired by a different culture each session such as African, European, Afro-Cuban/Latin and Mexican (still life & portraits). Our first "Paint Day - African Inspired" is scheduled for Saturday, July 10th from 1pm - 5pm. Vivant will provide the paint, supplies and inspiration and all we ask for you to bring is your imagination!
Other events included are "Neo-Soul, Jazz and Cocktails..." a perfect combination to cultural bliss! Enjoy music from Miles Davis to Estelle and a bit of Bossa Nova while we sip wine and island inspired cocktails. This is a complimentary event on July 15th from 8pm -10pm ... the afterparty to "Contact My Manager"!!!
