Angela Simmons brought ex and possibly next boyfriend Bow Wow to the Miami Lounge at Stone Rose in Manhattan during Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week on February 11. The two arrived together and were swarmed by fans and photographers trying to get a shot of the on-again-off-again “couple.” They happily obliged while making their way over to the Yoplait Greek 100 bar where Bow Wow dug into some snacks. The rapper was overheard saying that he was “starving” and “couldn’t wait to eat something.”
Speaking of lounges at New York Fashion Week, during the first two days, February 7 and 8, the Women’s Mafia and ThatGirlAtThatParty.com hosted in conjunction with “Yellow Sky Agency PR, the premier fashion and beauty lounge. Situated in a sun-lit studio at the Kaufman Music Center, just two short blocks from Lincoln Center and Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, the first bi-annual Refresh Lounge was a relaxing oasis for busy fashion editors, celebrities, bloggers, stylists and key trendsetters to recharge, refresh their look with and discover exciting fashion and beauty brands outside of the tents.
As a little girl, actress Keke Palmer used to sing TLC’s “No Scrubs” over and over again to the point her parents would have to tell her to stop, but she never did. Says Palmer: “I had my little hairbrush as my mic and nobody could tell me I wasn’t the fourth member of TLC.” Palmer will be trading in the hairbrush for a real mic. She has been chosen to play the role of Chilli in the upcoming VH1 TLC biopic to be filmed in Atlanta, Georgia next month. Says Palmer: “I am a true fan. I love these ladies and I always want to be proud of my work in any role that I do.”
Jada Pinkett Smith hit the red carpet at the closing night of the Pan African Film Festival’s “Free Angela and All Political Prisoners” at the Ravel Cinemas on February 17 in Los Angeles.
