The Oak Lane Youth Association cheer program under the direction of Dawn Heath Gardner and Monique White started out their quest to be the best with the vision of four teams with four dreams and one goal to compete in the Pop Warner Super Bowl and National Cheer and Dance Championships.
For the last 25 years, the event has taken place at Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex where teams from all over the country compete for a National Championship. Pop Warner Little Scholars, Inc. (PWLS) is a non-profit organization that provides youth football and cheer programs for participants in 42 states and several countries around the world.
Consisting of approximately 400,000 young people ranging from ages 5 to 16 years old, PWLS is the largest youth football, cheer and dance program in the United States. Pop Warner was founded in 1929 continues to grow and serves as the only youth football, cheerleading & organization that require its participants to maintain academic standards in order to participate.

We are pleased and excited to announce that all four teams which consist of Jr.Pee Wees, Pee Wees, Jr. Midgets and Midgets. All started our journey at the LYAA local cheerleading competition where three of our four teams took first place and one second place. The Pee Wee team were deemed Grand Champions earning the highest score of all teams/divisions/ages competing. We then advanced to qualifiers which all four teams were granted to compete at the Regional Level in New Jersey in this past November.
The dream was finally realized when all four teams placed 1st and 2nd and advanced to National Championship to represent the Eastern Region for the Philadelphia area. Now Oak Lane Youth Association can proudly say their 2012 Jr. Pee Wees are 5th Place holders, Pee Wees and Jr. Midgets are 1st Place holders, and Midgets 2nd Place holders at the National Level. These young ladies not only excelled physically, but also scholastically throughout the season.
