Usher headlines Superstar Philly Powerhouse 30
Power 99 celebrates 30 years of Powerhouse with three nights of concerts, featuring Rick Ross, Trey Songz, MGK, SWV and more
Power 99, Philadelphia's heritage home for Hip-Hop and R&B, today announced that Island Def Jam recording artist, Usher, will headline Powerhouse 2012's main event on Friday, October 26, at the Wells Fargo Center. To celebrate the 30th anniversary of its annual birthday concert, Powerhouse, Power 99 will host shows on three nights – Wednesday, October 24, Thursday, October 25, and Friday, October 26, 2012.
Powerhouse 30 will kick-off the celebration with the "Up and Comers Show," featuring Machine Gun Kelly (MGK), Curren$y, Tito Lopez and more on Wednesday, October 24, at the Theatre of Living Arts (TLA). On Thursday, October 25, "The Old School Show," will feature performances by Sisters with Voices (SWV), Ginuwine, Jagged Edge and 112 at the Tower Theater.
The two shows will lead up to the main event, "Powerhouse 2012," on Friday, October 26, at the Wells Fargo Center, featuring performances by Usher, Rick Ross, Meek Mill, Wale, Trey Songz, Big Sean, Miguel, 2 Chainz, Keyshia Cole, French Montana and GoGo Morrow. Powerhouse 30 is presented by E&J Brandy.
