Is Missy Elliott coming back?

Possibly. Let's not get too excited.

Timbaland says the all-around Hip Hop artist is about to drop two new songs. But an album is still in question.

The tracks aren't even permanently titled, but you can be on the look out for "9th Inning" and "Triple Threat."

That last time she released anything solo was in 2005.

It's about time Missy.

Her bestie in the biz, Timbaland, tweeted, "oh snapp yall my sista @MissyElliott is droppin her singles #9thinning and #triplethreat labor day weekend. watch it world we backk!!!

Yes the A-team is back and ready to blow yo mind with something fly.

Missy and Tim have been together for a long time. Since her debut album release in 1997 with 'Supa Dupa Fly,' Missy has created a genre all her own. No one since has been able to touch her style.

Has there ever been a wack Missy track?

Anyway, the dynamic duo is also the torchbearer of keeping Aaliyah's memory alive. But, as we reported, it's unlikely they're going to participating in any posthumous Aaliyah album.
