There is finally a real "Basketball Wife" on VH1. Los Angeles Laker Matt Barnes and Gloria Govan got secretly married in Las Vegas on September 23. The wedding took place at Little Church of the West with Gloria's sister, fellow "Basketball Wives: LA" star Laura Govan and her fiance Gilbert Arenas by their sides. According to reports, Matt's teammate De Andre Jordan was his best man, and fellow ballers Chris Paul and Blake Griffin were also there alongside Gloria's parents. Congratulations!.

 

Lil Wayne showed off his beginner skateboarding skills alongside a group of professional skateboarders recently to mark the opening of the rapper's new Trukstop Park in his hometown of New Orleans. The park is located in the lower 9th Ward, one of the most devastated sections of the Big Easy after the Levees failed during Hurricane Katrina in 2005. Says Lil Wayne: "I just want to help out my city, help out the people and the kids, and give them something to do."

 

The flawless Kerry Washington was all smiles the other week as she entered the Emergen-C Gift Lounge backstage at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles. The "Scandal" star got playful at the Emergen-C booth saying: "I always carry Emergen-C in my purse." When she saw the Pink Lemonade flavor, Kerry got sentimental, saying: "Pink would definitely be my favorite. My mom survived breast cancer so anything pink I tend to gravitate to."

 

For the past year or so, Beyonce's name has been attached to the Clint Eastwood remake of "A Star Is Born." Now Mr. Eastwood doesn't sound so sure. At the premiere of his latest film, "Trouble With The Curve," E! News asked Clint about Beyonce' starring in his next flick, and he sounded a little shaky, telling E!: "Beyonce's great. I don't know if she's available but we've talked a little bit."

 

The Apollo Theater in New York City will present the second event in its newly launched Apollo Uptown Hall series with a free viewing party of the second presidential debate between President Barack Obama and Republican nominee Mitt Romney on Tuesday, October 16 at 7:30 PM. Prior to screening the presidential debate, there will be a panel discussion with several political analysts, who will discuss issues important to the community followed by a Q&A with the audience. the panel includes Esther Armak. Herb Boyd, Michael Brendan Dougherty, Mark Riley, William Tucker and Armstrong Williams. The panel will be moderated by Christina Greer.
