Eagles fans bid a fond and grateful farewell to All-Pro Brian Dawkins last week at his retirement ceremony at the Linc.
Surrounded by his family, "Wolverine" whose contract with the Eagles was not renewed in 2008, still expressed that he was still an Eagle at heart, even after playing three seasons with the Denver Broncos.
"I wanted to go out and do my best. ...I will always be an Eagle in my heart and I will always look to represent this organization and (the fans) to the best of my abilities every day."

Despite being the best prospect in the Phillies organization and lacking in significant league experience, more than a few people called for the team to cut ties with Brown. But so far this season, Brown is making the most of his chance to play on a regular basis.
“My shoulder was bothering me,” Halladay said. “I woke up and I really didn’t think anything of it. I thought it was regular soreness. It kind progressed over the last two weeks or so. ..I felt good all spring, I felt good all year. It was after that start against Pittsburgh, I had soreness in there and I wasn’t able to get rid of it.”
