Eagles fans bid a fond and grateful farewell to All-Pro Brian Dawkins last week at his retirement ceremony at the Linc.
Surrounded by his family, "Wolverine" whose contract with the Eagles was not renewed in 2008, still expressed that he was still an Eagle at heart, even after playing three seasons with the Denver Broncos.
"I wanted to go out and do my best. ...I will always be an Eagle in my heart and I will always look to represent this organization and (the fans) to the best of my abilities every day."

Apparently, Brown’s home run celebration, a low-key martial arts number complete with a high-five with fellow slugger Ryan Howard has some unnamed scouts, opponents and executives a little peeved according to a story in Wednesday’s Philadelphia Inquirer.
When the Phillies sent a struggling Domonic Brown back to the minors in 2011 after the big trade for Hunter Pence, the sports talk radio community as well as several local media outlets were calling on the Phillies to trade him.
