President Barack Obama's announcement that he supports same sex marriages is already paying off. The president already is scheduled to attend an LGBT gala and concert in Beverly Hills on June 6. Now, in addition to that event, Glee co-creator Ryan Murphy and his fiance David Miller will hold a separate dinner that night to raise money for the Obama campaign. Dinner with the president at the Murphy-Miller home will cost $40,000 per couple or $25,000 for one ticket.

 

Spring is set to be very busy for Bobby Brown. Rumor has it the R&B singer is marrying his fiancee Alicia Etheridge on June 15 in Honolulu where he'll be performing with the New Edition. He's also releasing a new solo album "The Masterpiece" on June 5. To promote the album Bobby is tapped to appear on The Ellen Degeneres Show and The Jay Leno Show, The Today Show on May 28 and The Wendy Williams Show on May 29.

 

Speaking of "The Wendy Williams Show," Bayville, New York resident Kellen Culligan's visit to "Wendy" in New York payed off big on May 11 when she was randomly chosen from the audience to participate in the "Wendy 5,000" money booth segment. In honor of Wendy's upcoming 500th episode, fans are being given the opportunity to win up to $5,000 by seeing how much money they can grab in 30 seconds. Culligan walked away with $1,400 cold hard cash. The 500th episode celebration of The Wendy Williams Show takes place on May 23.

 

On Monday, May 14, in New York City, Pampers partnered with Team USA hopeful, Kerri Walsh, Boyz II Men's Shawn Stockman and New York Giants Wide Receiver Victor Cruz and their children, to celebrate the unique spirit of play within every baby at "Pampers Spirit of Play Date" at KidVille. The efforts babies go to in order to overcome everyday challenges - like learning to crawl, walk and balance - are world class in their effort and determination. To celebrate this unique spirit of play, Pampers has launched its Limited Edition "USA" diapers and wipes, and has now partnered with Kerri and her family, as they make their way to the London 2012 Olympic Games.

 

Film Life, Inc, announced the HBO Short Film Award competition selections for the 16th Annual American Black Film Festival (ABFF) taking place in South Beach Miami, Florida, June 20-23. Jeff Friday, founder and CEO of ABFF states: "HBO has consistently demonstrated a commitment to discovering new filmmakers, which is the goal of our festival." The selected films are Zero, Cherry Waves, Sleep, Womack and Busted On Brigham Lane.
