A source who was on the set of Sparkle when Whitney was in Detroit for two months last fall filming told the Chicago Sun Times: "Whitney stayed at the Westin Book Cadillac Hotel and after filming, she would eat at the 24 Grille in the hotel. She was often accompanied by the young man, Nick Gordon, and referred to him as her son. She was very affectionate with him and on one occasion he called her 'mom.' She most always had a lemon meringue martini and a cheeseburger." It is also being reported that the producers are now rushing to get Sparkle in the theaters by May instead of the original proposed month of August.
Talk about a woman in love. At the March 13 Old Spice Scent event at Highline Stages in New York City, all Sports Illustrated model Chrissy Teigen could talk about was her fiance John Legend. She told me: "He's down the street recording." The face of Gillette Venus & Olay Razor, Teigen said she was at the launch of the new scents Champion and Danger to support Old Spice because it is the brother line to Venus. Life, Love, Soul's cast includes Robbie Tate-Brickle, VH-1's Basketball Wives' Tami Roman, Jamie Hector, Terri J. Vaughn and Valerie Simpson.
